Herkimer Diamond Sterling earrings will be a swanky addition to your accessory arsenol. The mineral owes its name to Herkimer County in the state of New York. This is where it was first discovered, and mistaken for diamonds because of the clarity. Herkimer Diamonds are the most powerful of all quartz crystals. These wee look a-like diamonds differ from quartz in that they are double terminated at both ends. Which means they have the characteristic hexagonal tip at both ends.
